Stephen Struthers is the managing partner of our team. He began his career with IG Wealth Management in 2009, managing his own practice for 14 years before forming a partnership in 2022. Stephen is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC). Together with his team, he leverages a broad range of skills and experience to deliver specialized financial planning advice to high-net-worth families. His areas of expertise include corporate wealth management, retirement income planning, tax strategies, estate planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer. 

Stephen is passionate about giving back to his community. He is a former Director of the Vancouver Island University Foundation Board and has supported numerous charitable organizations, including Loaves and Fishes Food Bank, Compassion Canada, Alzheimer Society of B.C., The Salvation Army, Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association, Nanaimo District Hospital Foundation, LiveDifferent, Nanaimo Foodshare Society, RainCoast Dog Rescue, Grace Ministries orphanage in the Congo, and his local church. 

Outside of work, Stephen and his wife, Ashley, love to travel and explore new cultures. They are always seeking adventure—whether it’s just the two of them or with their dog, Hazel. They enjoy organic gardening and embrace the science and challenge of growing their own produce. Stephen is also an avid fly fisherman and a new golf enthusiast.
